Sacramento Escorts: Along with economy, Schwarzenegger’s approval ratings slid

Filed under: Sacramento escorts — escortingsacramento @ 6:36 am and

In a new poll by the Public Policy Institute of California, only 28% of respondents were happy with Schwarzenegger’s performance, the worst rating of his tenure and the lowest since Gray Davis stood at 26% two months before voters recalled him from office in 2003.
Lawmakers had an even worse approval rating of 17%, the poll found. President Obama is doing a lot better, although his popularity has also fallen since May – from 72% to 65%.
The survey of 2,501 respondents was taken between July 17 and 21. Schwarzenegger and lawmakers announced a budget deal July 20.
Aaron McLear, Schwarzenegger’s spokesman, said governors in other states have suffered big drops in the polls because of the economy. Only one — David Paterson of New York, also at 28% — had a rating as low as Schwarzenegger. Paterson has had numerous political problems since taking over after Eliot Spitzer quit in a prostitution scandal.

Sacramento Strip Clubs: California credibility crisis

Filed under: Sacramento strip clubs — porsche @ 10:36 pm and

If members of Congress are able to start their scheduled August break Friday, many of them may be wanting to head for a secluded vacation spot rather than returning home to face their constituents. Back home they’ll find voters who’ve been bombarded with grassroots and advertising campaigns from all sides of the healthcare debate. Labor, the president, both political parties, insurers and business groups that don’t want to pay the bill for healthcare reform have ginned up grassroots activists and scheduled substantial advertising buys to argue their particular point of view.
As if all this agitating over the national agenda were not enough, many senators and members of Congress hail from states with troubled economies, unbalanced budgets and huge deficits. Governors and state legislatures are struggling to close the gaps with deep budget cuts and a grab-bag of potential new taxes on everything from marijuana to strip clubs to cell phone ringtones. California, the poster child for troubled states, has just sh …

Sacramento Strip Clubs: Relationships 101: Where can you meet rock musicians for a love …

Relationships 101: Where can you meet rock musicians for a love connection in Sacramento?
e you driven crazy by the tender/tough persona of  guys who belt out tunes in voices that make angels weep?
Does the sound of a bass guitar send you into stripper-overdrive? Do you love rock and roll and the rockers?
It’s an all together surreal experience to date a rock musician – and that’s just the local, not-yet-famous ones.   Most music men carry an air of intrigue about them and possess that ethereal quality that’s somehow missing in the ”Joe Next Door” type,  whose musical creativity is limited to belching in tandem to his alma mater’s fight song. (No offense Joe)
Well ladies, the 80’s  might be over but there’s still musicians a-plenty to be found in Sacramento.  You just have to know where to look these days.
I’ve uncovered three good places to start your search for these rock stars – what you do to get the date is all up to you.  Let’s start with the most obvious first – live music bars/clubs:

Sacramento Strip Clubs: ‘The Ugly Truth’ is pretty fanciful

Filed under: Sacramento strip clubs — porsche @ 4:48 pm and

Heigl plays Abby, a morning television producer in Sacramento battling dismal ratings and having little luck finding Mr. Right.
Abby’s desperate boss hires a chauvinistic Neanderthal named Mike (Butler), who spouts outrageous, cynical ideas about men and women and relationships in daily on-air segments called “The Ugly Truth.”
Abby can’t stand Mike. Mike strikes a deal with Abby: If he helps her snag a man — specifically the hunky doctor she’s discovered next door (Eric Winter, “Days of Our Lives”) — she must help Mike get ahead on TV. If he fails, he’ll quit.
Abby, a control freak with a 10-point checklist for any potential mate, has trouble swallowing Mike’s dating rules: Never criticize. (“Not even when it’s constructive?” she protests.) Never talk about your problems. Change the way you look and act, becoming a cross between a librarian and a stripper.

Sacramento Strip Clubs: The Ugly Truth

Who’s It For? The R-rated dating crowd that only like the illusion of seeing a movie empowering to both men and women. Though it’s written by three women and even produced by Heigl, The Ugly Truth has much more of a “men”tality than one would expect.
Expectations: Considering the compelling casting, I had hopes that this would be a funny relationship comedy with some genuine laughs. I was even thinking this movie could enlighten us onto how the opposite sex thinks.
SCORECARD (0-10)
Actors:
Katherine Heigl as Abby Richter: Despite the roles assigned to her by Butler’s character, Heigl is more amusing as “the librarian” than “the stripper.” Abby’s moments of sexiness always have the creepy course of an agenda, often controlled by Mike (or even worse, the film’s script). Her chemistry with the piggish Chadway is at least more interesting when it is a clear example of positive vs. negative.

Sacramento Strip Clubs: The Ugly Truth: Battle of the sexes ain’t pretty

Filed under: Sacramento strip clubs — porsche @ 9:24 am and

That dooms her to being alone, at least according to Mike (Butler), the loudmouth Neanderthal who berates her when she calls into his late-night cable show. In his snarky rants about men and women, Mike combines the laid-back charm of Mad Money host Jim Cramer with the emotional sensitivity of comedian-turned-author Steve Harvey. “All this men-are-from-Venus crap is a waste of time and money!” he declares in a braying tone.
Abby is appalled when this “über-moron misogynist” gets a regular spot on her show. Though it’s hard to see how much longer he can milk this schtick when his thoughts on romance could fit on a napkin and still leave room for phone numbers, his antics win ratings.
These reluctant co-workers declare a truce when a hunky surgeon (Eric Winter) moves into Abby’s apartment complex and she solicits Mike’s advice on how to land him. Imagine what follows as George Bernard Shaw’s Pygmalion except with a potty-mouthed Henry Higgins instructing Eliza Doolittle on how to dress more like a stripper.

Sacramento Escorts: Gerard Butler Tells ‘The Ugly Truth’ This Weekend So We’ve …

Filed under: Sacramento escorts — escortingsacramento @ 11:24 pm and

2. “Dracula 2000” Butler’s first American film found him stepping into the fangs of the most famous vampire since Edward Cullen: Dracula. While his Dracula looks pretty good once he gets some fresh blood into him, there’s no getting around his aura of pure and ruthless evil. Plus, you have to share him with his three other brides. Where’s the fun in that?
3.“Shooters”
This indie jaunt had a role for every up-and-coming UK actor who wanted to show off his dark and dirty side.  Naturally, one of these gents was Gerard Butler, who plays a well-dressed gangster named Jackie Jr.  It’s certainly one of his ugliest characters due to all the coke-snorting, prostitute visiting, and skull smashing he does.  But he spends his final scene of the film wearing nothing but a yellow towel, so you might have something to distract you from the violence.

Sacramento Strip Clubs: Lady Bianca’s unique approach to music led to new title

Filed under: Sacramento strip clubs — porsche @ 11:12 am and

That’s what she was trying to do as a somewhat curious and restless student at San Francisco’s Conservatory of Music.
Exposed to church music all her life – her mother “bought me a tiny piano” when she was 8 – Bianca wasn’t hearing the same thing as her conservatory professors.
“I figured Bach and Beethoven was the first disco music,” she said. “I wanted to change the time signatures. If you change key signatures in some of Bach, it’s more jazzy or it’s more bluesy.
“With some others, like Chopin, I just wanted to see how it sounded in gospel and blues key signatures. They said, ‘You can’t do it here.’ “
So, she wound up “trying to sneak away from conservatory.” Just 18, she started sneaking into The Brass Rail, a topless bar in Sunnyvale.

Sacramento Strip Clubs: The Ugly Truth

Mike’s producer, Abby Richter (Katherine Heigl), finds Mike and his stripper-pole view of the world abhorrent (as well she should). That, of course, is because she’s
his opposite number, a control-freak prude who treats her prospective boyfriends as job applicants. She’s also obsessed with ”class” (you know, bistros and galleries). As Mike and Abby bicker and claw, they sound like dueling magazines: When Maxim Met Cosmo. But then, assuming that you’ve spun past the implausible notion that a local news station would ever hire a horndog firecracker like Mike (or that the viewers would give
him a 93 percent positive rating), a second contrivance kicks in: He tries to win Abby over by coaching her on tactics to nail her
latest prospect (eat hot dogs suggestively!), even giving her a makeover (more jiggle, shorter skirts). At around this point, the movie turns into When Clueless Met Porky’s. Seriously, can you feel the love?

Sacramento Adult Entertainment: Legal pot would solve problems: Letters for July 22, 2009

Filed under: Sacramento adult entertainment — mrparty @ 1:01 am and

The U.S. has spent billions of dollars incarcerating and imprisoning pot smokers. Legalization wouldn’t just save money, by taxing it, California would generate over a billion dollars each year. It would help tremendously to neutralize drug cartels, the violence associated with them, and slow the roll of the street gangs. If the politicians she sometimes praises and defends did their jobs, this topic wouldn’t even be on the table for discussion.
- KYLE LAURENTNewhall
California will legalize everything
The latest news item in the state budget crisis is the possibility of legalizing marijuana to generate tax revenues. The thought process in Sacramento has all but vanished. What’s next, Arnold? Legalizing prostitution? Maybe it’s time to do to this governor what was done to the last one, or have we all forgotten?
