Elk Grove gay bar Hunters Nightclub imposes new rule on cross dressers
Patrons are now required to supply ID that matches their ‘gender presentation’
An Elk Grove Village gay bar popular with cross-dressers now requires them to show a valid photo ID that matches their “gender presentation.” Put another way, they now need a photo ID that shows them in drag.
Hunters Nightclub reluctantly imposed its new ID requirement because cross-dressing prostitutes were advertising on Craigslist and mentioning the establishment, said manager Peter Landorf.
“They’re implying they’re coming here,” said Landorf, whose new rule could cut down on his cross-dressing clientele. “If it is prostitution in any form, that could cost me my liquor license.”
Under the new admission rule, cross-dressers must have a government-issued photo ID that looks like the person presenting it at the bar. That, of course, is a serious hurdle for people like Andy, a “part-time transgender woman” who lives in Goshen, Ind., but goes to Chicago to “dress” as Jeanette.

Obama: Health insurance mandate no tax increaseWASHINGTON (AP) _ President Barack Obama says requiring people to get health insurance and fining them if they don’t would not amount to a backhanded tax increase. “I absolutely reject that notion,” the president said. Blanketing most of the Sunday TV news shows, Obama defended his proposed health care overhaul, including a key point of the various health care bills on Capitol Hill: mandating that people get health insurance to share the cost burden fairly among all. Those who failed to get coverage would face financial penalties.
Obama favors investigation into ACORN’s activitiesWASHINGTON (AP) _ President Barack Obama says there should be an investigation into the hidden-camera video involving employees at the activist group ACORN and a couple posing as a prostitute and her pimp. The two ACORN workers are seen apparently advising the couple to lie about her profession and launder her earnings to get housing aid. The video is only the latest problem for the group, which had nearly $1 million embezzled by its founder’s brother and has been accused of voter registration fraud. The House and Senate voted last week to deny federal funds to ACORN.

Governor Schwarzenegger Calls for Investigation into ACORN
Associated Press September 16, 2009
SACRAMENTO – Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has called on California’s attorney general to investigate ACORN, the community organizing group that has come under fire in videos produced by conservative activists that show the group’s workers offering advice on how to set up prostitution businesses.
Schwarzenegger sent a letter to Attorney General Jerry Brown Wednesday asking his office to look into ACORN’s activities in California.
The most recent hidden-camera videos came from San Diego and San Bernardino and feature two filmmakers posing as a pimp and a prostitute and asking ACORN workers for advice.
Brown spokesman Scott Gerber says the attorney general’s office would review the video, and investigate or refer it to the local district attorney if it is believed there is any wrongdoing.

Sacramento Adult Entertainment: George Skelton: Lobbyists and sex — nothing new in Sacramento

Filed under: Sacramento adult entertainment — mrparty @ 1:13 am and

Entering the hotel suite, I saw an open bedroom door. And sitting on the bed was an attractive female lobbyist wearing only black panties. Two or three male legislators stood around grinning, chortling.
A little embarrassed, I hurried past to the main party group. The bedroom door soon closed. And for the next 45 minutes or so, one legislator after another entered or left the room.
The lobbyist had just won passage of a major bill, and I assumed she was celebrating by entertaining helpful lawmakers.
No, this was not early Saturday after the tortured conclusion of this year’s regular session. It was 46 years ago, not long after I had begun covering the Legislature for a wire service.
And the point is that lobbyist-provided sex — supplied directly or indirectly by some glorified pimp — is nothing new in the California Legislature or any democratic body, dating back centuries.

The scandal, which came out after Edwards dropped his presidential bid in 2008, appears to have ended his political career. Rielle Hunter testified Aug. 6 before a grand jury in Raleigh investigating whether any campaign financing laws were violated by payoffs given to her by Edwards supporters.
Edwards has acknowledged having had a sexual relationship with Hunter while denying fathering her child.
Hunter is said to be considering moving to Wilmington, N.C., near the island where the Edwards family has a summer home.

On August 10th detectives say he picked up a 16-year-old girl who was walking downtown, drove her to a vacant lot near D and 10th Streets where he sexually assaulted her. Then on August 27th police say he approached a 49-year-old woman on Stockton Boulevard in South Sacramento and raped her in an alley way near Broadway and Alhambra.
“I think his goal was, ‘Hey, I’m a cop. You will do these things for me or you’ll go to jail,” said Sgt. Norm Leong with the Sacramento Police Department.
