Sacramento Adult Entertainment: Garrido Home Searched For Abduction Clues

Filed under: Sacramento adult entertainment — mrparty @ 5:12 pm and

He pointed out that Garrido had been released from prison a few months before Ilene’s disappearance as she walked home from school on Jan. 30, 1989.
“At this point we cannot say that the Garridos are with certainty suspects in this case but certainly we’ve been unable to eliminate them as suspects,” von Savoye said.
There is a $60,000 reward offered in Michaela’s case and a $100,000 reward in Ilene’s, police said.
Several law enforcement agencies previously searched the Garrido property and the one next door after the couple’s arrest on Aug. 26. Police have said the neighbor is not a suspect, but the property is a target of the investigation because Garrido had access to it.
Pittsburg police had looked for clues possibly linking Garrido to the murders of prostitutes but later said they found no evidence to tie Garrido to those cases.

Sacramento Escorts: Garridos are focus of more kidnap probes

The searches Tuesday – which were expected to continue for several days – were conducted with the assistance of the Alameda and the Contra Costa sheriff’s departments and the FBI, police said.
“Our aim is to methodically, systematically and very thoroughly search the properties with our own cases in mind, knowing what we’re looking for,” Orrey said.
Orrey said the “original agencies that were on the properties searching were not familiar with our cases. We’re taking another shot at the properties to see what we can find.”
Dugard’s reappearance prompted an intensive four-day search in late August of the property where the Garridos allegedly kept her. Pittsburg police said they were trying to determine whether the Garridos were connected to the slayings of 10 prostitutes and a 15-year-old girl in the late 1990s, but authorities later said they had found no evidence to indicate they were.

Sacramento Strip Clubs: Pastor uses sermon to apologize to those hurt by church

Filed under: Sacramento strip clubs — porsche @ 1:00 am and

At Impact Community Church in Elk Grove, congregants made gift baskets and dropped them off at gay civil rights organizations and strip clubs with attached notes apologizing for the words and actions of some religious leaders. On Good Friday, Flood, Restoration Life and Vineyard Christian Fellowship posted apologies at downtown kiosks. Under a picture of Pat Robertson someone had written, “He doesn’t speak for me.”
Cole said he decided to apologize while preparing for this week’s sermon.
“This has been weighing on my heart,” the pastor said in an interview before the sermon. “This should have been done long ago, I don’t want to let any more time go by.”
After the sermon, Silvas, teary-eyed, called Cole’s heartfelt apology amazing. “For so long all I felt was shame — people whispered about me, calling me the stripper mom,” said Silvas, 31.

And it’s finally happening.”
The Church At Elk Grove effort also will feature a special City Hope ’09 program with 40 days of devotional guides and programs for small groups to come together weekly in an effort to reach our community with God’s love.

Sacramento Adult Entertainment: Nation is tiring of political corruption

Filed under: Sacramento adult entertainment — mrparty @ 9:13 am and

message to Sacramento and Washington: we’re mad as hell and we are NOT going to take it anymore. Is everyone in government on the take or on the make? Some days it certainly seems to be the case. And far too often their constituency has been only too willing to give them a “pass,” so long as they kept bringing in the pork.
(A good/bad example of this is none other than Congressman Barney Frank, who has repeatedly been re-elected despite the fact that his sexual partner, several years ago, got caught running a male prostitution ring out of the couple’s home. Frank claimed he knew nothing about it – does anyone really believe that? – and his constituency seemed to both forgive and forget.) We don’t know about Massachusetts, but we feel confident speaking for the people of Northern California in stating that we will no longer countenance any degree of corruption among our elected officials.

Sacramento Adult Entertainment: Craigslist sex trafficker sentenced

Filed under: Sacramento adult entertainment — mrparty @ 5:12 pm and

Assistant U.S. Attorney Kyle Reardon, who prosecutedthe case, from March 18, 2008, until March 25, 2008, said Sanwal used “force, fraud, and coercion,” to cause the teen to engage in prostitution.

In Rocklin, the defendant used the motel’s Internet access to post several Craigslist advertisements advertising the victim for prostitution services. The phone number listed on the advertisements belonged to a cell phone used by the defendant. The advertisement and cell phone were used to set up “dates” for the victim while she was in Rocklin.
On March 21, 2008, the defendant and the victim drove back to Fremont where she again worked as a prostitute in a motel room paid for by the defendant. The victim stayed at this location until she was found by police on March 25, 2008.

More Information
“We had quite a media storm when we learned that a parent of a kindergarten student in our school was earning a living as a stripper and we asked her to either give up that profession or withdraw her child from our school. Since that day, life has had many twists and turns for Christina and her family. … I’m happy to share with you that Christina has been attending our church faithfully since January and her two children are enrolled in our school. We have come full circle in our relationship.”
“Ben Sharpe has walked in forgiveness toward others and has excelled in his journey since the firestorm he experienced with us 14 years ago. Ben was in my oldest son’s eighth-grade class in 1995. He was chosen that spring to receive the Superintendent’s Award for academic achievement and character and citizenship. He was an impressive young man. A few days before graduation, Ben got a haircut that appeared to violate a …

Sacramento Adult Entertainment: Editorial: ‘Inappropriate storytelling’

Filed under: Sacramento adult entertainment — mrparty @ 1:13 am and

But Duvall is one of the very few to receive a 100 percent approval rating from the Capitol Resources Group for his voting record on family value issues.
Duvall abruptly resigned Wednesday because his “inappropriate storytelling” had finally become public, joining the ranks of many disgraced politicians before him.
Governor Mark Sanford (R – South Carolina) admitted to a weeklong rendezvous with an Argentinean woman, whom he could not contain his gushing admiration for, even after his affair was exposed less than three months ago. Though Sanford has not resigned his position, many have called his political record into question as a result.
Senator Larry Craig’s (R – Idaho) scandal made headlines for weeks in 2007 after he was arrested during a sting operation in an airport restroom for soliciting sex from an undercover police officer. Although Craig stated that he intended to resign, he did not leave the Senate until his term was over.

Sacramento Strip Clubs: Ethics? They don’t need no stinkin’ ethics to follow in Sacramento

Filed under: Sacramento strip clubs — porsche @ 8:12 am and

Duvall happens to have served on the utilities and commerce committee which explains why our energy prices are so high. Duvall – who a day after resigning said he didn’t really do anything but tell a big whopper to a colleague – also served on the ethics committee. It just re-affirms the futility in letting the foxes guard the hen house and helps make a case for having independent ethics commissions oversee each house of the legislature instead of allowing politicians to police themselves.
At least Duvall didn’t do any foot tapping under stalls in the men’s bathroom, go swimming fully dressed in the Tidal Basin with a stripper, or hit on boy pages which means he definitely had no chance of ever making his way to serve in Congress. His straight forward tale of infidelity allowing a lobbyist to do what they do best on behalf of their bosses makes him a pure minor leaguer.
