Sacramento Adult Entertainment: Duvall’s sex scandal broke lobbying laws?

Filed under: Sacramento adult entertainment — mrparty @ 9:13 am and

… Common Cause would like to see the end result here be stronger lobby disclosure laws so that lobbyists are reporting who they’re meeting with, what they’re talking about, where, when,” said Derek Cressman, California Common Cause.
The married Duvall, who resigned shortly after the tape surfaced last month, said during a committee hearing break that he liked his mistress’s “eyepatch underwear” and their new-found fun.
Among the supporting evidence cited in the complaint was an Eyewitness News story about how common affairs are between lawmakers and lobbyists. A source last month did not want to be identified.
“It makes my job tougher. If I have to compete against someone who wants to engage in prostitution to get a piece of legislation passed, that’s not something I’m willing to do for my client, and so it gives them a leg up, and it really dirties up the process.”

Sacramento Escorts: Jaycee Dugard Captive No More

Filed under: Sacramento escorts — escortingsacramento @ 11:36 am and

Probyn says Jaycee’s reunion with her mother has not gone entirely smoothly. “They are just trying to bond,” he says. “It will take years to straighten this out.” While reconnecting with her mother and her sister Shana, who’s now in college, Jaycee will also have to deal with feelings towards Garrido “that are probably mixed,” says Juliet Francis, a psychologist who consults with the NCMEC. “She’s still going to miss being in a situation that’s familiar. She will need therapy and lots and lots of support. She will need time to adjust to being back in her own skin.” For now, Jaycee’s children remain in her care; no one can say for sure what will happen to them down the road.
The full horror of what she went through is not yet clear. Police are investigating Garrido in the disappearance of other area children—and in the murders of several prostitutes killed within miles of Garrido’s home, including one woman found outside Che …

A Teesside Crown Court jury took 40 minutes to deliver a unanimous not guilty verdict on Jamie Taylor.
Taylor, 22, denied beating and raping the woman and told jurors his sexual activity with her was consensual.
He cried in the witness box as he said: “I never thought for one second that I’d get charged with something like this. I’ve done nothing wrong.
“It was consented and she knows it was.”

After seven months in custody Taylor, of Yarm Road, gave his account of events in a second trial last week. He said he was walking from a friend’s house when the prostitute said to him: “Are you looking for business, darl?”

Sacramento Escorts: Guardian Angels Launch Watt Avenue Patrol

Filed under: Sacramento escorts — escortingsacramento @ 9:13 pm and

A group of people dressed in red barets and white t-shirts with red-lettering say it’s the first night of what will be a regular patrol, focused on tracking down those who engage in drug-use and prostitution on Watt Avenue, near Interstate 80.
The Guardian Angels believe it is their mission, because the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department has been hit so hard by budget cuts.
“It’s been visually known to have prostitution in this area,” said Angels’ organizer Patrick Kent.
“The prostitutes are doing whatever they want to do at any time of the day, any time of the night,” said fellow Angel Rocky Twitchell.

For the first part of their patrol Saturday, they didn’t need any of those tools as there were no visible problems on the streets. The only instance happened around 10:00 p.m. when the group tried to confront two women believed to be prostitutes.

Guardian Angels Patrol Streets For Prostitution
Jamie Soriano FOX40 News October 3, 2009
SACRAMENTO – It’s a walk most often done by women selling sex. But on Saturday night, the Guardian Angels patrolled Watt Avenue in North Highlands hoping to deter prostitutes from doing their dirty work.
“We’re sending a message that we’re not going to tolerate it. It’s not going to happen. It’s not going to be here. If you want to do that, go somewhere else. We’re going to chase you there too. We’re going to follow you until you eventually disappear,” said Patrick Kent, of the Guardian Angels.
The group is focusing on the area known as “The Stroll” where prostitution has run rampant.

Area businesses are used to prostitutes lingering around their property. They’ve done as much as they can to stop it.

Sacramento Escorts: Guardian Angels say to patrol part of Watt Avenue to combat hookers

The Sacramento Bee’s Crime blog is a comprehensive report of crime news, trends and information for your community and beyond.
From Cathy Locke
The Guardian Angels have announced that they will patrol a section of Watt Avenue near Interstate 80 tonight in an effort to combat prostitution in the area.
The Watt Avenue area has seen an increase in prostitution and drug paraphernalia in front of motels and along streets in the neighborhood, according to a news release from the Guardian Angels’ Sacramento chapter. With cuts in Sacramento Sheriff’s Department staffing, organization leaders said they want to provide “eyes and ears” to help deter such behavior.
The group will patrol the area from 5 to 9 p.m.
