Sacramento Strip Clubs: NBA Free Play #2 for 12/15/09–Everything’s Coming Up Roses

Filed under: Sacramento strip clubs — porsche @ 7:00 pm and

Since I’ve already come up a fair number of witty allusions to roses, and there’s plenty of pictures of the Portland Trailblazers’ dancers on the Internet we’ll have a second play in tonight’s Portland Trailblazers/Sacramento Kings basketball game.  We had a play on the side earlier and this one is on the total.  This picture is of one of the Portland Trailblazers’ dancers.  In other news, Portland, Oregon has more strip clubs per capita than any city in the US.  Coincidence?  You tell me…:
SACRAMENTO KINGS VS. PORTLAND TRAILBLAZERS
In our side play we talked about the difficulty the Blazers have had adjusting to life without Greg Oden.  Before Oden’s injury (which we’ll refer to as ‘Before Oden’ or ‘B.O.’) the Blazers had become more of a halfcourt team to better leverage his growing impact on the defensive end.  After Oden’s injury (’After Oden’ or ‘A.O.’) they’ve quickly reverted to being an uptempo team to take advantage of their backcourt talent and depth.  This isn’t a transition that happens overnight, but after one game where they struggled with the change in style they’ve done fairly well with it at least in terms of point output.

What kind of reaction could you expect when you invite someone to dinner but tell him that he has to do the cooking? “You’ve got to be kidding!” But it is fun to ease the shock when you tell him that you’re taking him to a “strip club.” That will get his attention.

Sacramento Escorts: Lawyer for man charged in Fayetteville girl’s death quits

Filed under: Sacramento escorts — escortingsacramento @ 8:12 pm and

She was reported missing from her Fayetteville home on Nov. 10. Her body was found in a patch of kudzu off a rural road near the Lee-Harnett County line six days later.
She died of asphyxiation, according to preliminary autopsy results.
Fayetteville attorney Allen Rogers represented McNeill during his initial court appearances, but he has withdrawn from the case, saying a public defender could provide McNeill with more resources.
McNeill’s next court date is set for Jan. 27.
Shaniya’s mother, Antoinette Nicole Davis, 25, has been charged with human trafficking, felony child abuse–prostitution, filing a false police report and obstructing a police investigation. Arrest warrants state that Davis “did knowingly provide Shaniya with the intent that she be held in sexual servitude” and “did permit an act of prostitution with Shaniya.”

Suspect’s DNA links him to ‘97 Fairfield case

The DNA of a Sacramento man arrested in September in connection with two sexual assaults there links him to a 1997 case in which an elderly Fairfield woman was similarly assaulted, authorities announced Tuesday.
Albert Povadora, 34, remains in the custody of the Sacramento County Jail, where he is being held without bail.
On Sept. 18, Povadora was arrested near his home on suspicion of 14 counts of sexual assault, including six counts of forcible rape. Posing as a law enforcement officer, he raped a 16-year-old girl on Aug. 10 and a 49-year-old woman on Aug. 27, according to Sacramento police. Povadora, officials said, targeted women he thought were prostitutes and may be responsible for a series of sexual assaults.

Sacramento Suspect Linked to 1997 Fairfield Rape, Cops Say
FAIRFIELD, CA – A man arrested by Sacramento police three months ago on suspicion of several sexual assaults has been linked to the unsolved rape of a woman in Fairfield in 1997, say Fairfield police.
Lt. Darrin Moody with the Fairfield Police Department said DNA obtained from Albert Pouadora, 34, matches that of DNA obtained from the February 1997 sexual assault of an elderly Fairfield woman. The woman was asleep in her bed when she awoke to a man standing there, Moody said. The man attacked her and fled, according to the police report.
Sacramento officers arrested Pouadora on Sept. 18. Moody said Pouadora is suspected of impersonating a law enforcement officer to prostitutes in the Sacramento area and demanding sex.

It forces us to look at the status of women, at the status of our youth, at the status of people who have different sexualities, at drug trafficking and use, at human trafficking, at child abuse and sex work. It forces us to look at ourselves, at the way we are, at our attitudes and norms, at the way we interact with each other,” Mr Ostby said.

Sacramento Adult Entertainment: Awareness v Discrimination: NGOs mark World AIDS Day in Armenia

Filed under: Sacramento adult entertainment — mrparty @ 4:12 pm and

The number of new reported cases in 2007 and 2008 was 109 and 118, respectively. The Republican HIV/AIDS Prevention Center estimates, however, that the number of people with HIV/AIDS in Armenia could be as high as 2,800.
“Real World, Real People” NGO head Hovhannes Madoyan estimates that the number of officially reported cases has increased in the recent period because people leaving for migrant work in Russia are now required to pass a medical test for HIV/AIDS.
“HIV/AIDS treatment is available in Armenia, but its availability for high-risk groups is not provided. I don’t think the motto ‘Availability for all’, by which the world will be guided in the coming year can be translated into action in Armenia,” says Madoyan.
(Prostitutes, intravenous drug users, homosexuals, are traditionally considered to be HIV/AIDS risk groups.)

Sacramento Escorts: Piece of Mind: Fighting AIDS, and Ignorance

Filed under: Sacramento escorts — escortingsacramento @ 8:24 am and

… In Jakarta, more than 200 female demonstrators urged the government to close down brothels and ban condoms, which they said encouraged ‘free sex and unhealthy behavior.’ One banner read, ‘Prostitutes, drug users and homosexuals are the agents of immorality,’ ” the report read.
The demonstrators also demanded that programs providing free condoms for male and female prostitutes be ended.
Let’s try to look at this from a logical point of view — Jakarta is becoming a modern metropolis, and more and more people of the younger generation are independent and free-spirited and don’t follow the same traditions or rules as their parents. In other words, sex before marriage is becoming more common, and this development seems to be a natural one and unlikely to stop.

Also, prostitution is one of the oldest industries in the world. Close down one brothel, and another will open a week later. I don’t support prostitution, but depriving sex workers of free condoms would just put them at higher risk of infection.

Sacramento Escorts: Yes, there is still an AIDS crisis

Filed under: Sacramento escorts — escortingsacramento @ 8:24 am and

But HAART is not a vaccine. And not everyone has access to it yet. In fact, 60 per cent of the people in the world who need treatment for the disease are not getting it. Consequently, an estimated 5,500 people are still dying from it every day around the world. You can do the yearly math.
South Africa is facing an AIDS crisis in which nearly six million people are infected.
“We were in South Africa for the Cape Town conference [on AIDS] last summer,” Dr. Montaner told me. “Every day, the newspaper had a story about 30 per cent of doctors being infected with HIV, 30 per cent of nurses, 30 per cent of teachers. It means their whole infrastructure is crumbling. It means society as a whole becomes fragile.” The impact the disease can have on a family unit is devastating. It often leads to even worse poverty. Children have to leave school to try and support their parents. Often, such children turn to prostitution. The consequences are often lethal.
