STOCKTON – An extended investigation of an online prostitution ring ended Wednesday with the arrests of a 49-year-old Stockton man suspected of running it and a woman suspected of working for it.
Stockton Police Department detectives served warrants at a dilapidated, single-story home in the first block of East Barrymore Street at about 9:30 a.m. There, they arrested Adolphus Tolver, 49, on suspicion of pimping and pandering.

Keisha Puccetti, 30, was arrested when she arrived later, also on suspicion of pimping, pandering and false imprisonment. Detectives were still looking for two other women suspected of involvement. To protect the investigation, police would not release their names.

Man Arrested In Prostitution Bust

STOCKTON, Calif. –
A man was arrested in Stockton on Wednesday in connection with a prostitution crackdown, police said.
Special weapons and tactics team members raided a home on Barrymore Street at about 10:30 a.m.
Officers arrested Adolphus Tolver on charges related to pimping and pandering, authorities said.
Tolver proclaimed his innocence Wednesday, saying he had nothing to do with the alleged ring.
“I got kids, daughters in the house,” Tolver said. “Prostitution ring?”
Tolver’s arrest came after a six-month investigation, police said.
Police had a search warrant and arrest warrants for four people. Keisha Puccetti, 31, one of the people listed on the warrant, was arrested Wednesday.
Authorities said the apparent prostitution operation relied on the Web to reach clients.

STOCKTON, CA – The Stockton Police Department has broken up what it calls a prostitution operation that was run partially through the Internet.
It’s early in the investigation, but police spokesman Pete Smith said several individuals are accused of also befriending one young, homeless woman and forcing her into prostitution.
The home raided early Wednesday is in a neighborhood just east of the University of the Pacific.
Police said they have received complaints from neighbors for months about a house on Barrymore Street being used for questionable activities. Smith didn’t describe the house as a brothel, but more as a base of operations.
Adolfus Tolver, 49, was taken from the house in handcuffs and was to be charged with pimping and pandering, according to Smith. Keisha Puccetti, 30, walked up to the home while police were there and was eventually arrested as well on a warrant.

Two arrested in Web prostitution bust identified
STOCKTON – Two people were arrested this morning in connection with a months-long investigation into an online prostitution ring operating in Stockton.
Adolphus Tolver, 49, and Kesha Puccetti, 30, were arrested this morning at a home in the first block of East Barrymore Street, where detectives served several arrest warrants, seized computers and searched the home. Officer Pete Smith, a police spokesman, said Tolver and Puccetti were arrested on suspicion of pimping and pandering. Two other women are still being sought for arrest.
Smith said the suspects used Web sites to advertise and to communicate with clients. The attention of investigators was drawn to the home by reports of suspicious activity and complaints about the home’s disrepair.

ROCKFORD (WREX) – At least nine women were arrested and charged with prostitution during an overnight sting in Rockford.
We were first to tell you about this story on 13 News Today Friday. Police have not released many details, but plan to issue an official press release about who was arrested later today.
The sting was in the Midtown District, which is in and around 7th Street.
Last week, undercover officers busted 10 people for allegedly taking part in a prostitution operation in the Midtown District and other areas of the city.
