Howard Stern to Replace Cowell on American Idol?
Feb 08, 2010
You’re going to be hard pressed to find a new judge for American Idol who’s more of an obnoxious d-bag than Simon Cowell, but Fox producers have a candidate at the top of their lists: Howard Stern.
Stern may shift gears from the blah-blah-blah he does every morning with strippers and mutants on his satellite radio program to sitting at the American Idol judges’ table, according to The New York Post. Stern is tapped as the leading candidate to replace the acerbic Cowell, who’s set to retire from the show at the end of this season.

Sacramento Strip Clubs: Will Howard Stern Be Replacing Simon Cowell on American Idol in 2011?

Filed under: Sacramento strip clubs — porsche @ 3:24 am and

And let’s not fool anyone here… those threatening to never watch again are not going to miss one second of “Idol”. Who are you trying to convince with your threats, ladies? FOX or yourselves? Stern knows how to play to his audience. After watching one episode with him as judge the common opinion will be “Hey, he wasn’t as bad as I thought he’d be”. After one season, I guarantee the fans would love the guy. Do you actually think he’d judge a contestant by saying things like “Your song was bad, now take off your top” as strippers and lesbians massage his shoulders? No, Howard is a perfectionist and would take the job very seriously and put in the time needed to excel at it. You would be pleasantly surprised at the job Stern would do. In fact, I think he would be tamer and less insulting to the contestants than Simon is.

Sacramento Strip Clubs: Is Stern Replacing Cowell on ‘Idol’?

Filed under: Sacramento strip clubs — porsche @ 3:24 am and

As you might expect, Fox — which, like the Post, is owned by New Corp. — isn’t commenting.
At first glance, it would make sense for Fox: Take the meanest man in England and exchange him with the crudest man in either hemisphere. Could be an even swap.
And watching Stern’s opinionated, prickly personality rub up against Ellen DeGeneres’ oppressive niceness would be fun. It might even give the show the lift it desperately needs in a post-Simon, post-Paula world.
But would this work? Really?
It just seems like a marriage made in hell. Stern has a penchant for strippers and midgets, not Fantasia Barrino. The shock jock’s musical taste run more towards Megadeth than Adam Lambert. In fact, he routinely lampoons the kind of starry eyed ingenues that “Idol” unleashes on the American public on a weekly basis.

Oh boy, American Idol producers have offered up Simon’s chair to Howard Stern. The New York loving shock-jock will probably decline the position, so here’s a handy guide for Fox executives about who they should give the job to. Now this rumor could be totally untrue, but Susan Delfino (Terri Hatcher) may be killed off of Desperate Housewives next season! Did producers read our alternate reality post or something? Maybe M.J. will get a bath from that stripper, after all! (Ugh.) Three more actors have been cast in upcoming broadcast pilots. ABC’s Awkward Situations for Men is starting to sound pretty awesome, don’t you think? Speaking of ABC, the network has picked up Wright vs. Wrong from MadTV’s Stephanie Weir. For the love of God, I hope Weir keeps former coworker Alex Borstein far away from this project, seriously. Without a Trace’s Enrique Murciano has joined Shonda Rhimes’s Off the Map pilot. Even though we totally know everything that’s going to happen already, con …

Sacramento Escorts: International Capsules: Hurdles cleared, Vancouver is ready for Olympics

Filed under: Sacramento escorts — escortingsacramento @ 7:13 am and

A rallying cry of these protesters was “No Olympics on Stolen Land” — a reference to the fact that in much of British Columbia, unlike other provinces, treaties were never completed to address the takeover of land by white settlers.
However, the prospect of serious friction diminished once VANOC established official partnerships with the four First Nations whose traditional territories overlap the vast Olympic zone.
Another challenge for organizers has been dealing with Vancouver’s skid-row neighborhood — the Downtown Eastside — an area just a few blocks from the city center that abounds with run-down rooming houses, drifters and drug addicts. Prostitutes from the area were the main targets of serial killer Robert Pickton, serving a life prison term after being charged in 2002 with the deaths of 26 women.

Sacramento Escorts: A Little Saigon in Sacramento

Filed under: Sacramento escorts — escortingsacramento @ 6:37 am and

California State Assemblyman Van Tran from Orange County — the site of the oldest and largest Little Saigon in the U.S. — and SMUD board director Nancy Bui were among the Vietnamese community leaders who spoke to the gatherers in Vietnamese.
Bryan Ngo, a 39-year-old office worker, said he often travels to Stockton Boulevard to get a bite to eat or go shopping, and feels the recognition of Little Saigon is long overdue.
“It’s very good for the people around there, and it’s time for us to be united,” he said. “As soon as I heard about (the campaign) a couple months ago, I volunteered a few hours to help.”
Nhon “Neo” Trinh, who has owned Design Copy Print Center on Stockton Boulevard for the last nine years, has seen the growth of the area firsthand.
“It changed a lot,” he said. “New buildings and businesses have helped the area grow. Years ago, there was a lot of prostitution, but it’s been better since the Vietnamese dominated the area.”

Sacramento Massage Parlors: Sacramento city receives $12M in federal funding for private developments

Filed under: Sacramento massage parlors — happyending @ 8:12 pm and

The city of Sacramento on Monday announced that it is seeking applicants for $12 million in low-interest bonds provided by the federal stimulus package for private development projects.
The bond financing stems from the Recovery Zone Facility Bond program, which is a low-cost financing mechanism for ready-to-build projects. Cities and counties were granted the authority to issue these bonds to stimulate development.
The city issued the notice Monday and is seeking letters of interest.
Sacramento will be a “conduit” issuer of the bonds, but the funding is not a grant and the city is not “backing” the bond. Borrowers must have the ability to secure a letter of credit from a rated bank or commitment from an institutional investor.
Projects that do not qualify under federal rules are residential rental properties, golf courses, country clubs, massage parlors, hot tub facilities, suntan facilities, racetracks, gambling facilities or liquor stores.
