Sacramento Escorts: Calif. GOP senator comes out as gay on radio

Filed under: Sacramento escorts — escortingsacramento @ 10:01 am and

Gay rights activists seized on the opportunity to point out the senator’s inconsistency between his anti-gay voting record and his personal life.
“It’s awfully sad that someone felt the need to hide who he was and live a double life and actually, in order to continue hiding who he was, became an advocate against his very community,” Geoff Kors from Equality California said.
But Ashburn says he only voted the way his heavily Republican district would have wanted.
Ashburn joins other Republicans who were consistently anti-gay, but their personal lives showed something different.
Former U.S. Sen. Larry Craig, R-Idaho, was arrested for tapping an undercover cop’s foot in a men’s bathroom at an airport, which is said to be a special code for soliciting sex and former Congressman Mark Foley, R-FL, sent racy texts and emails to teenage boys in the Congressional page program.

Sacramento Adult Entertainment: Devious killer

Man admits murder of teenager Ashleigh was my best friend Police began investigating sickening sex attacks attributed to Peter Chapman when he was just 15 years old. Over the next 18 years he carried out a string of sexual assaults and rapes in different parts of the UK before being jailed in 1996. To many he portrayed himself as a meek and mild individual, but police described him as devious and dangerous. It was in late 2009 that he used an online photo of a handsome young man to attract Ashleigh Hall to her death. Chapman was born in January 1977 and brought up by his grandparents on the Hardwick Estate in Stockton. In 1992, aged 15, he was the subject of a sexual assault investigation and four years later was accused of raping a girl he had befriended who became pregnant, although the allegations were later dropped. But in December 1996 he found himself in court accused of attacking two teenage prostitutes. He had stole …

Three suspects arrested in prostitution sting in Vacaville
Posted: 03/05/2010 01:01:20 AM PST
Another prostitution sting in Vacaville has led to three arrests.
As part of an ongoing effort to stem prostitution in the city, detectives from the Vacaville Police Department’s Investigative Services Section on Wednesday carried out a sting operation.
Sacramento resident Shaterricka Johnson, 20, Vallejo resident Lauren Stockman, 27, and El Sobrante resident Lacey Carter, 20, were all arrested on suspicion of prostitution as well as being an unlicensed escort.
All of these women, according to police, contacted an undercover officer and agreed to complete a sex act for a specific amount of money. Johnson was also arrested on suspicion of being in possession of a stolen vehicle and possessing a controlled substance, Valium.

The sting is not the first effort by local law enforcement to curtail prostitution. In at least two other efforts earlier this year, Vacaville police nabbed eight suspects.

Sacramento Adult Entertainment: What’s the fuss over lieutenant govs?

Filed under: Sacramento adult entertainment — mrparty @ 1:13 pm and

Races for lieutenant governor have rarely been controversial in Louisiana, says Louisiana State University political science professor Wayne Parent. The last three lieutenant governors — Landrieu, Kathleen Babineaux Blanco (who went on to become governor) and Melinda Schwegmann — were all well-known to voters, because of previous political campaigns or their family names, Parent notes. “We’ve had a pretty colorful history” in Louisiana, Parent says, “but the lieutenant governor has never been part of that colorful history.”
The same is certainly not true in Illinois. Revelations about the checkered past of Scott Lee Cohen, winner of the Feb. 5 Democratic primary for lieutenant governor, mark only the latest in a long list of mishaps involving lieutenant governors and candidates for the position in the Land of Lincoln. Cohen, a pawnbroker who boasted in TV commercials of the job fairs he hosted for unemployed Illinoisans, dropped his bid when news accounts revealed that Cohen had  once been arrested for holding a knife to a girlfriend, who had been charged separately with prostitution, among other allegations.

Sacramento Escorts: HUD Looks To Anti-Gay Bias Investigation

Filed under: Sacramento escorts — escortingsacramento @ 5:49 am and

Additionally, while local and state studies of this type have been conducted, nothing on the federal level has been done. It is hoped by advocates that this federal study could be a first step.
Rea Carey, executive director of the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force said, “It finally will give us hard data to back up the heartbreaking stories of discrimination we’ve been hearing for years. This HUD study will show that there are a class of people … who have been repeatedly shut out of that portion of the American dream.”
Michigan’s Fair Housing Centers, which is a group of private advocacy organizations, found nearly 30 percent of same-sex couples were treated “differently” when trying to rent or buy a home. Included as examples were a Detroit landlord who told investigators, “No drugs, prostitution, homosexuality, one-night stands.”

Sacramento Escorts: HUD seeks help with anti-gay study

Chicago, New York and San Francisco all ban housing discrimination based on sexual orientation and, more recently, gender identity. The number of complaints about anti-gay bias filed with housing authorities has been relatively low — generally less than 10 percent of all housing complaints — but that can be attributed to some declining to out themselves by stepping forward, advocates said.
Fear of being outed is also a reason to hold the HUD sessions in big cities, where anti-gay bias may be less prevalent than elsewhere but where people also are more willing to discuss it when it happens, said Carey.
A study by Michigan’s Fair Housing Centers, a group of private advocacy organizations, found nearly 30 percent of same-sex couples were treated differently when trying to buy or rent a home. Such treatment included a male landlord who made sexually charged comments to a lesbian couple and a Detroit landlord who told testers, “No drugs, prostitution, homosexuality, one-night stands.”
