Sacramento Strip Clubs: First Cup: Monday

Filed under: Sacramento strip clubs — porsche @ 10:12 pm and

Ronald Tillery of The Commercial-Appeal: “They still plan to take the best player available regardless of position during the June 24 draft. They still plan to re-sign Rudy Gay and Ronnie Brewer during the free-agent period. They still plan to negotiate with Zach Randolph regarding a contract extension. They still are lecturing Randolph on being more careful about the company he keeps. The Grizzlies are in the same mode of operation they employed a week ago before Randolph produced his latest double-double: mentions in two separate police reports in less than 24 hours. Randolph was implicated in an Indianapolis drug investigation and Los Angeles-area strip club fight but the All-Star forward has avoided charges and arrest in both cases. Yes, the Grizzlies are frustrated in the wake of this public relations hit. But to the question of whether Randolph’s latest controversy will re-shape the Grizzlies’ draft and/or free-agent strategy, the answer is no.”

But to the question of whether Randolph’s latest controversy will re-shape the Grizzlies’ draft and/or free-agent strategy, the answer is no. The organization finds Randolph’s predicament disappointing but not at all detrimental to their offseason plans. The issue of whether Randolph will receive a contract extension that will keep him in a Grizzlies uniform beyond this season remains centered on finances. Randolph’s future hinges squarely on how much of a pay cut he’s willing to accept. In the meantime, the Griz will continue to look for shooting, backcourt help and ways to bolster their bench with Randolph wholeheartedly in their plans.

Sacramento Strip Clubs: Reading candidates’ books unearths nuggets

1. Even after he made his first millions, Steve Poizner still didn’t buy new furniture for his home. That came after his first billion.
2. Even though the family was wealthy, Meg Whitman’s mom made their five-person family stay in a rented tool shed. OK, so it was on the ritzy island of St. John, which Meg describes as “the Beverly Hills of the Caribbean.”
3. Even though she grew up the daughter of an attorney/college law professor who traveled the world, Carly Fiorina paid her own college tuition.
Even if she loses the Senate race, stuff that Carly Fiorina did that makes you want to go out for a beer with her on the day after the primary:
1. At a client’s insistence, went to a strip club, where the dancers refused to perform, saying, “Sorry, gentlemen. Not till the lady leaves.”

Sacramento Adult Entertainment: Getting real with Antwone Fisher and Ricky Ross

Filed under: Sacramento adult entertainment — mrparty @ 4:37 am and

Overcoming the life and lure of crime was one of multiple topics discussed by Antwone Fisher and Ricky ‘Freeway’ Ross at the “Sacramento Youth Gets Up Close & Personal with the ‘Real’ Antwone Fisher” event at the George Sim Community Center.
“I had to find protection,” said Fisher as he described his days of being emancipated and entering a men’s shelter. “Butch, this guy who was my protector, gave me a job and my job was to collect money from the prostitutes who worked for him.”
“He was the first person, that I felt, who really cared about me.”
Fisher discussed his time with Butch, and how it came to an end.
“He also had these cards that had addresses on them, and people he would send to me to get these cards from me, they would give me $200, $300, whatever they had written on the back, that’s how much they would give me for the card,” said Fisher.

Sacramento Escorts: Judge: Galt pot dispensary can stay open

Filed under: Sacramento escorts — escortingsacramento @ 5:37 am and

Typically at the end of the year there is very little money left over, but if there is any, it will be given to local charities, Mull said. Mull said he feels the dispensary has received a positive reception in the community.
“The people of Galt are not the same as the City Council members who have refused to enter into any dialogue and said, ‘We’ll see you in court,’” Mull said.
Since the dispensary is a co-op, it did not have to apply for a business license, because technically they are not selling anything, City Manager Jason Behrmann said.
The city learned of the collective when organizers filed paperwork with the finance department on May 18, saying they were in operation, he said.
The thing that bothers Councilman Darryl Clare most is that he feels the dispensary has ignored Galt’s regulations. Clare compared it to a gambling or prostitution business opening, which would also be forbidden under city code.

Sacramento Strip Clubs: Great Books: John Waters

Filed under: Sacramento strip clubs — porsche @ 5:24 am and

Here’s your summer reading assignment: John Waters just released a new collection of essays called Role Models. It’s a beautifully indulgent litany of “The Pope of Trash”’s artistic obsessions that also manages to be witty, insightful, and compassionate. Waters is a great interviewer and journalist – his pieces on Little Richard, the still-imprisoned “Manson Girl” Leslie Van Houten, and a creepy internet pornographer named Bobby Garcia are hair-raisingly intimate and force the (presumably liberal) reader to the edge of their own tolerance.
Role Models also offers bright and barbed discussions of Waters’s favorite cult authors (Ivy Compton-Burnett, Denton Welch, Jane Bowles); highly debatable modern artists (Mike Kelley, Cy Twombly, Peter Fischli and David Weiss); and unknown heroes from his hometown of Baltimore like the lesbian stripper Zorro and the bee-hived transgender rebel Pencil. Role Models is as fascinated with desperate fringe-dwellers as the author’s most notorious movies. But while John Waters the filmmaker can be amateurish and unfocussed, Waters the writer is sharp, clever, and humane.

Sacramento Escorts: Stockton prostitution sting cites 21 people

Filed under: Sacramento escorts — escortingsacramento @ 3:13 pm and

STOCKTON, Calif.—A sting in Stockton nets nearly two dozen people for trying to pick up prostitutes.
As part of the operation, the Stockton Police Department on Wednesday placed undercover officers posing as prostitutes on street corners and other high-traffic spots.
By day’s end, authorities had cited 21 people for soliciting prostitution from undercover officers.
Police say it’s important to go after prostitution despite deep budget cuts because it generates other crimes. Police Vice Sgt. Jim Chraska said prostitutes are beaten and robbed and often targeted by rapists.

Sacramento Strip Clubs: Sacramento City Council

7. What’s your position on a law that would limit the number of medical marijuana dispensaries allowed within the city limits? Should the city collect taxes from these dispensaries?
I support Prop 215 and the rights of medicinal marijuana patients to have access to marijuana under state laws and regulations.
I don’t support city staff’s proposed limit of 12 facilities citywide and the proposed siting criteria that would essentially restrict dispensaries to industrial zones like payday loan centers and strip clubs. While I agree that these facilities should not be sited in or next to single family residential zones, many medicinal marijuana customers are sick or disabled and need access to transit. Moreover, I have had no objections to the eight or so dispensaries located currently in Midtown. Yet under the proposed rules, these locations would not be allowed. A more flexible special use type permit is warranted.

Sacramento Adult Entertainment: Undercover prostitution sting nets 21

Undercover prostitution sting nets 21
Sex trade generates other crimes, police say

Police Vice Sgt. Jim Chraska said prostitution, both the crime and the economy around it, generates other crimes. Prostitutes are beaten, intimidated and robbed, and often targeted by rapists and murderers. The people who pay prostitutes for sex are sometimes lured to motel rooms and alleys, where they are robbed, beaten or worse.

And the spread of sexually transmitted diseases makes victims of people who had otherwise nothing to do with prostitution.
The neighborhoods, like those around Wilson Way, are also affected in other ways. Howe has lived on Sierra Nevada Street for 23 years. Prostitution draws other problems to the neighborhood. It’s not uncommon, she said, to see men scoping the neighborhood for burglary targets.

By the mission’s end, around 7 p.m., the Police Department had cited 21 people for soliciting prostitution from undercover officers.

Sacramento Adult Entertainment: Lucky No. 2 or Snake-Eyes for the Philadelphia 76ers?

Filed under: Sacramento adult entertainment — mrparty @ 12:37 pm and

Sure getting the second pick is great for a franchise that has been mired in mediocrity for the last decade, but that doesn’t matter if they don’t draft the right player with that pick.  I’m here to tell you that the right pick is Ohio State shooting guard Evan Turner.
I don’t care what anybody says leading up to the draft.  The Washington Wizards will select Kentucky point guard John Wall first overall.  I don’t care if they already have Gilbert Arenas.  Arenas was basically thrown off the team last year after that little “Wild West” scene he re-enacted in the locker room, so the Wizards will find some way to rid themselves of him.  The Wizards got lucky themselves by moving up from the fifth spot to land the top pick.  The New Jersey Nets and their new owner, who is rumored to have become a billionaire by running a prostitution ring in Russia, had the best odds at the top pick by having the worst record last year, but had to settle for the third pick.
