Sacramento Adult Entertainment: Howard Stern digs his iPad

Filed under: Sacramento adult entertainment — mrparty @ 12:37 pm and

Oh, my.
Yeah, we know…another “celebrity x enjoys his/her iPad post” is hardly riveting reading, but this story is worth a mention. Any long-time Stern fan knows that 1.) He dislikes Apple and 2.) He’s adverse to new tech gadgets. Unless he’s pimping Sirius/XM hardware, you won’t hear much fanboy gadget-gushing from Howard (he famously clings to Lotus Notes for much of his tech-based communication).
This week on the show, he talked about the 64GB 3G iPad he received as a gift from Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher. Calling it “pretty cool,” Howard mentioned reading the New York Times with it and taking screenshots of his wife, Beth O, appearing on a recent episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live via the ABC Player app.
This story is less about the celebrity and more about the iPad winning over yet another unlikely customer. Good job, Apple!

Sacramento Adult Entertainment: Straight talk from prison

Filed under: Sacramento adult entertainment — mrparty @ 12:37 pm and

… You better think long and hard,” she told the students. “You want to spend the rest of your life in prison?”
In all, more than 700 students from the Stockton Unified School District came to hear the prisoners. The students asked questions.
The prisoners talked about seeing inmates commit suicide and personally having to be searched with flashlights in their private body parts for drugs and weapons. Prison guards – even men – keep a constant eye on them, even in the shower and bathroom, they said.
The food is “gray and bland,” one inmate said. In prison society, nobody is alone. That means women partner up, even those who never considered themselves homosexual, the inmates explained.
“We have pimps and sugar daddies in here, too,” said Tweetie, a masculine inmate, who let out a wild laugh as if taking delight from shocking the students.

Sacramento Adult Entertainment: At NBA’s pre-draft camp, most of the action takes place off the court

… I guess there are conflicting reports about how it happened,” the Sacramento center said, “but no matter how it happened, that was a little bit over the top.”
Hawes was referring to the controversy over Oklahoma State wide receiver Dez Bryant’s sit-down with Miami Dolphins GM Jeff Ireland. Though no one outside the room knows exactly how it transpired, SI.com’s Jim Trotter reported that Ireland asked Bryant if his mother was a prostitute during a conversation in which the player offered that his father was a pimp. According to Trotter’s story, Ireland then asked Bryant what his mother did. When told that she worked for his father, Ireland allegedly followed up by asking Bryant if his mother was a prostitute; the wideout said no. Bryant, who was drafted by the Cowboys, has denied that version of events.

Sacramento Adult Entertainment: Poizner Levels Porn Peddler Accusation at Whitman

During her tenure at eBay, Whitman presided over the move of all pornography and erotic toys to an “adult” section at eBay. Ironically, similar to what online classifieds site Craigslist — a business Whitman wanted to acquire — did in response to criticisms that it served as a market for sex work.

Sacramento Adult Entertainment: Lawrence Taylor’s alleged victim could be tied to human sex trafficking; FBI …

Filed under: Sacramento adult entertainment — mrparty @ 12:37 pm and

According to federal documents obtained by TMZ, the FBI is investigating the pimp of the Lawrence Taylor’s alleged rape victim on suspicion of human sex trafficking, a federal violation.
The 16-year-old girl told cops that her pimp, Rasheed Davis, instructed her to tell Taylor she was 19 and to have sex with him against her will.
An FBI agent working on the case says Davis “caused” the girl to “engage in multiple commercial sex acts with various individuals” and “set the prices.”The federal documents indicate that Davis had sent the girl text messages telling her to have sex with Taylor on May 5, but that she initially refused. In order to get her to comply, the agent claims Davis physically assaulted her “in an effort to coerce [the victim] into participating in a commercial sex act” and then instructed the victim to tell Taylor she was 19 and to charge him $300 for sex.

Police claim to have found $300 in Davis’ car when they tracked him down on May 6 — and Davis admitted he’d received the funds from pimping out the alleged victim to Taylor and others.

I couldn’t make it through the first quarter watching so many mistakes on defense. The Suns have no chance unless they figure out how to play better team defense – which is like asking a prostitute to become a nun. In a week.

Sacramento Strip Clubs: Mountain Lions stalking a quarterback.

Filed under: Sacramento strip clubs — porsche @ 5:00 am and

The Vikings got off to a slow start, due in large part to Culpepper’s struggles.  They were just 2-4 when he tore his ACL, MCL and PCL in a game against the Carolina Panthers.  He was done for the year, and he had six touchdowns, 12 picks and a passer’s rating of 64.4.  A far cry from the gaudy 110.9 from the previous season.
To add insult to injury, literally, Culpepper was at the heart of a sex boat scandal involving 17 Vikings, two boats and a gaggle of strippers and live sex acts.  Culpepper was one of four players charged with three misdemeanors.  It really amounted to immature antics and boys being boys, but coupled with the injury, his deteriorating play and some contract issues, Daunte was on his way out.

Sacramento Adult Entertainment: The out-of-towners

Filed under: Sacramento adult entertainment — mrparty @ 4:37 am and

The most intriguing new show of the season will be opening very soon at California Shakespeare Theater in Orinda. To mark the 10-year anniversary of artistic director Jonathan Moscone’s association with the company, they will be premiering a new adaptation of John Steinbeck’s The Pastures of Heaven, based on a collection of stories set in the bucolic Coast Range of Monterey County, near Steinbeck’s home town of Salinas. The grassy, rounded hillsides that surround California Shakespeare’s Bruns Memorial Amphitheater are actually quite similar to “Steinbeck country.” A cast of 11 will portray more than 40 different characters, orchestrated by playwright Octavio Solis, with Moscone directing. Previews begin June 2; the show runs through June 27.
Other Cal Shakes shows this summer include George Bernard Shaw’s deliberately controversial play Mrs. Warren’s Profession, about a financially successful middle-aged female entrepreneur whose college-age daughter (returning home from studies at Cambridge University) is shocked to realize that the family business is a high-class brothel. The play was banned in London when Shaw finished it 1893, but is now regarded as a classic. The Cal Shakes production runs July 7 through August 1.

Reactions from the state’s poverty-advocacy industry were even more hyperbolic: A spokesman for the Western Center on Law and Poverty warned that if the legislature enacted the governor’s proposal, “California could look like something approaching a Third World situation with children begging in the streets.”
There is something rote about these dire predictions. On the eve of the 1996 welfare reform, Democratic senator Frank Lautenberg voiced his concern that the bill would transform America into a Third World nation, leaving “children hungry and homeless . . . begging for money, begging for food, and even at eight and nine years old engaging in prostitution.”
