Vandals attack grieving Stockton couple’s car
A GRIEVING Stockton couple who lost their beautiful daughter to cancer three weeks ago have become the victims of mindless vandals.
Every night Margaret and Tony Wright, who are both disabled, take their Vauxhall Zafira mobility car and pay their respects at daughter Rachel’s grave in Thornaby Cemetery.
But the seven-seater car is off the road for at least three weeks after thugs covered it in paint-stripper as the couple visited their son, David, in Hartlepool. A much-needed family holiday to Scotland has also had to be cancelled as a result of the sickening crime on Owton Manor Lane.
The Roseworth couple have been given a temporary vehicle while theirs is repaired, but the Peugeot 207 is too small to take their grandchildren away.

According to court documents filed in the case, on January 11, 2008, police received a report of a 15-year-old runaway from Montana. The police learned that the girl was being offered as a prostitute on Craigslist, and an undercover police officer made a date to meet her. The officer met her in a Sacramento motel room, confirmed that she was in fact the 15-year-old runaway, and took her into custody.
The girl told police that she had run away from her home in Montana at Wests urging when she began talking to him online. West paid for a bus ticket for the girl to come to Sacramento from Montana, and she arrived on December 25, 2007. West met her at the bus station and took her to a female friends apartment where he had the woman post an ad on the online service RedBook offering the girl as a prostitute. The girl prostituted for West out of a Sacramento motel for two days.

Sacramento Adult Entertainment: Palin slams Jerry Brown, critics at California University

Filed under: Sacramento adult entertainment — mrparty @ 12:37 pm and

Saturday, June 26, 2010 05:59 PM ET Palin’s political pageantry Sarah Palin’s quirky speech patterns can only be understood if one remembers her beauty-pageant background. Obviously no political thinker, Palin is merely completing the “verbal” portion of her political pageant — answering the typical “Why America is the bestest” beauty-pageant question. The only thing that matters to her fans is that she recites her standard snarky talking points — and looks good doing it. Sadly, neither Palin nor her fans seem to realize that the content of her speeches offer little more substance than that poor Miss Teen USA contestant blathering on painfully about the lack of maps. —JackHughes Read JackHughes’s other letters Permalink Flag

It’s always about her.
I don’t think she’s being investigated, it’s the people who hired her. I don’t think there is a law on the books for microphone prostitution.

Sacramento Strip Clubs: Robert Rector: State budget ideas flashing before our eyes

Filed under: Sacramento strip clubs — porsche @ 3:12 am and

Price has introduced a bill that would allow the state to begin researching the use of electronic license plates that would mimic a standard plate when the vehicle is in motion but would switch to digital ads or other messages when it is stopped for more than four seconds, whether in traffic or at a red light.
The license plate number would remain visible at all times in some section of the screen. In emergencies, the plates could be used to broadcast Amber Alerts or traffic information.
“We’re just trying to find creative ways of generating additional revenues,” Price told the Associated Press. “It’s an exciting marriage of technology with need, and an opportunity to keep California in the forefront.”
I can hear the police dispatcher now: “Attention all units. Be on the lookout for a stolen vehicle with a license plate frame advertising Tidy Bowl.”
Come to think of it, product placement could be a knotty problem. Do you want your car to flash “Viagra” every time you hit the brakes. Or pitch mortgage lenders? Or Scientology? Or strip clubs?

Updated: 06/25/2010 05:42:45 PM PDT
A 29-year-old Antioch woman was arrested for prostitution after her vehicle careened into a Vallejo home Thursday afternoon.
Jordin McKee said her car was having issues with alignment when she lost control of the vehicle, Vallejo Sgt. Herman Robinson said.
Her truck crashed through a black metal fence and came to rest against a house at the corner of Illinois and Sutter streets.
Witnesses at the scene said McKee attempted to flee at first, but she remained on scene once she noticed people calling police on their cell phones.
The house suffered some damage to its siding. McKee was uninjured, Robinson said.
Police determined that McKee had a $10,000 arrest warrant from Sonoma County for prostitution, so she was taken into custody, Robinson said.

Sacramento Strip Clubs: Live, Pick-by-Pick Analysis for NBA Draft Lottery

Filed under: Sacramento strip clubs — porsche @ 11:25 pm and

Very Quick Take: Wall – an athletic and skilled point guard – will give life to a stale Washington franchise. Look for Wall and Gilbert Arenas to form an exciting, high-scoring backcourt. And look for the Wizards, with new owner Ted Leonsis taking charge, to improve in 2011.
2) Evan Turner (Ohio State University to Philadelphia 76ers, shooting guard).
Very Quick Take: The rebuilding 76ers hope Turner’s all-around game makes them relevant again in Philadelphia. A mature and steady playmaker, Turner will fit next to athlete Andre Iguodala and developing Jrue Holiday.
3) Derrick Favors (Georgia Tech University to New Jersey Nets, power forward).
Very Quick Take: There’s no guarantee the Nets – even with new billionaire owner Mikhail Prokhorov throwing his money around like Nelly at the strip club – sign a top free agent power forward. Carlos Boozer, Chris Bosh, and Amar’e Stoudemire could go elsewhere, so adding Favors makes sense.

Sacramento Adult Entertainment: Elegant Stockton men’s club recalls another era

Filed under: Sacramento adult entertainment — mrparty @ 4:37 am and

… The charter members had in common the desire for a companionable place to dine with friends or business associates,” Shellenberger writes. “In the British style … “
Translation: elegant appointments, privacy, servants, a bar, gourmet food, easy chairs, library, pool tables, game tables, and no women, children or dogs.
The club moved to its present location in the city’s first skyscraper, the eight-story Bank of Stockton building, in 1909, taking the upper three floors.
The top floor offered private rooms for Yosemite Club men. Some even summered there, shipping families off to the coast. If those walls could talk.
Of course, the club’s charter required members be of “good moral character and respectable standing.” But that was open to interpretation.
Member James A. Morrissey, for instance, was landlord of Stockton’s largest Chinese brothel, according to Shellenberger.
