A man who was celebrated as an “icon” after teaching social studies in Lodi (LOH’-deye) for 48 years has been charged with prostitution.
Columbia County prosecutors say 72-year-old Gerald Hilliker solicited sex at a highway rest stop in the town of Caledonia last July. A criminal complaint says Hilliker distributed a flyer with a list of sex acts to truckers at the Highway 33 rest stop.
Earlier this year, Hilliker was celebrated at a school assembly upon his retirement. Lodi Middle School principal David Dyb called the longtime teacher an “icon.”
Assistant District Attorney Troy Cross tells the State Journal the charges were not filed earlier because he hadn’t received a complete police report. Hilliker didn’t immediately return a call for comment.

A longtime Lodi teacher who was celebrated with a school assembly this spring when he retired was arrested in July for distributing fliers at a truck stop asking for socks and underwear and offering sexual acts, according to a criminal complaint filed last week in Columbia County.
Gerald R. Hilliker, 72, who taught middle school social studies for 48 years, faces two charges of prostitution after the July 13 incident. Each charge carries a maximum penalty of a $10,000 fine or nine months in jail or both.

“It was the offering of something of value for nonmarital sexual intercourse that brought it into the prostitution realm,” Cross said.

Brown recruited the first victim in 2005 and used threats, force and coercion to work for him as a prostitute, according to trial testimony. Among the violations he was accused of: rape, pistol-whipping the girl, and putting a gun in her mouth with his finger on the trigger. He also poured bleach on open wounds on her body and threatened he would kill her and her family if she left him.
Witnesses testified the girl, along with a second underage girl that Brown recruited in September, 2009, worked along Stockton Boulevard. Brown was also found to have posted Internet ads on prostitution websites advertising the girls’ services, as well as collected the money they earned from selling their bodies.
Brown was arrested in September, 2009, after the second girl ran away. She testified Brown she was raped, forced to participate in sexual acts with other prostitutes under Brown’s control, assaulted and beaten.

Sacramento Adult Entertainment: From Roseville to Del Paso Heights, with fatherly love

From Roseville to Del Paso Heights, with fatherly love
Locals mentor fatherless boys at urban schools
Two boys were biking along a path in Del Paso Heights one day, when other boys jumped them, doling out bruises and a shiner in return for stealing their backpacks and bikes.
They missed a few days at Martin Luther King Jr. Technology Academy but also at Freedom Hall, an after-school mentor program.
“When you see that, you get angry,” said Dillon Herrenschmidt, a Freedom Hall mentor from Rocklin. “You feel the pain they feel.”
But violence, drugs and prostitution are a daily reality in the area, one that a Roseville native has been trying to fight since he introduced Freedom Hall in 2007.
Bill Coibion, 66, founded the program to “break the cycle of fatherlessness” by mentoring boys with single mothers. He brought with him an entourage of volunteers and staff in and around Roseville to the junior high where they set aside a hall to meet students for a couple hours each day, Monday through Thursday.

Sacramento Escorts: Sacramento man convicted of prostituting two underage girls

Filed under: Sacramento escorts — escortingsacramento @ 10:24 pm and

According to testimony presented during the trial, Brown met and recruited two underage girls to work for him as prostitutes in and around the Sacramento area. He recruited the first victim in 2005, and she continued to work for him until his arrest in September 2009.
Brown used force, threats of force and coercion to force the girl to prostitute for him.
Brown recruited a second girl on Sept. 2, 2009 as she was walking near Arden Fair Mall. The girl worked for Brown until Sept. 13, when she ran away after he beat her in an apartment he used off Stockton Boulevard.
Officials said Brown forced the two girls, along with a third prostitute, Brittney Beacham, his co-defendant in the case, to work for him primarily in the Stockton Boulevard area of south Sacramento. He drove the girls to the area, advertised their services on prostitution websites, monitored and supervised their activities and collected the money they earned from prostitution.

Sacramento Adult Entertainment: Second Saturday: A Tragedy Waiting to Happen Can Anything Be Done To Save It?

Filed under: Sacramento adult entertainment — mrparty @ 8:37 pm and

This peaked after August’s Second Saturday (both A and B). The outcry become so loud that it was finally reported by The Sacramento Bee and The Sacramento News and Review. Both promptly poo-poo’d it along with city officials and the MBA.
So why were things allowed to spiral so out of control that Sacramento Police officers at the scene of the shooting last weekend could not prevent it or even identify a suspect? It can be traced back directly to the relationship between city officials and the MBA with the purveyors of highly profitable liquor in Midtown.
A little history: A few decades ago there was no way there would be a clubbing scene in what wasn’t even known as Midtown. White flight to the suburbs had left the area to drug dealers, prostitution, social services and Section 8 subsidized housing.
