Sacramento Adult Entertainment: Crackdown on voyeuristic taping wins Assembly approval

Filed under: Sacramento adult entertainment — mrparty @ 9:00 pm and

Legislation stemming from real estate executive Michael Lyons’ secret videotaping of women at his Sacramento County home was approved today by the Assembly, the same day that Lyons learned he must do jail time.
Assembly Bill 708 would extend the statute of limitation on such crimes, allowing charges to be filed within one year after discovery of hidden videotaping that is meant to invade privacy or arouse the offender’s sexual desire.
Assemblyman Steve Knight, a Palmdale Republican and former Los Angeles police officer, said he crafted the bill in response to the Lyons case and incidents in which predators would hide cameras at shopping mall escalators to videotape beneath women’s dresses.
AB 708, which passed the Assembly 67-0, now goes to the Senate.
Lyons pleaded guilty last month to secretly videotaping four prostitutes he hired from online services.

Sacramento Escorts: Sheriff: Lyon to Serve Sentence in Jail, Not Home Confinement in Carmichael

Filed under: Sacramento escorts — escortingsacramento @ 6:00 pm and

A real estate executive who filmed encounters between himself and prostitutes will serve his sentence in jail instead of at his Carmichael home, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office announced today.
Sheriff Scott Jones announced in a news release that Michael Lyon, the former chief executive officer of Lyon Real Estate, will report to jail to begin serving his sentence rather than be allowed to serve his entire sentence on home detention.
Lyon pleaded guilty March 14 to four felony counts of intentionally recording confidential communications without consent. The charges are linked to multiple sexual encounters Lyon filmed with four escorts at residences in Carmichael and Roseville.
Following the pleas, Sacramento Superior Court Judge Gary Ransom suspended a two-year jail term and instead sentenced Lyon to one year in custody and probation. Lyon must now report to the Rio Cosumnes Correctional Center next month to begin serving his sentence, Dep. Jason Ramos said.

Sacramento Adult Entertainment: Support to help Stockton prostitutes escape from their lifestyle

Filed under: Sacramento adult entertainment — mrparty @ 1:00 pm and

PROSTITUTES in a town centre vice hotspot are to be offered support to help them change their ways.
Around six sex workers in Stockton are to be offered help from agencies including the Probation Service and Drugs Treatment Service.
As reported, residents and workers in the town’s Densham’s Corner area – close to a nursery, church and numerous businesses – have complained of a growing problem with vice.
Police told the Gazette they were aware of the situation but changes in legislation have made it increasingly difficult to arrest prostitutes.
Officers must now catch a person committing an offence of prostitution at least three times in three months before they can carry out an arrest.

But a multi-agency approach has also been set up in a bid to help the prostitutes escape from vice.

The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department suspects prostitutes frequent a South Sacramento home where a shooting occurred Easter Sunday.
Deputies say a man walked out of the home on Andrewsarah Court and fired about six shots at someone driving by. Officers later stormed the home, but nobody was inside. Neighbors tell FOX40 they frequently see activity related to prostitution going on at the home.
At the same time, officers were dealing with another shooting on 40th Avenue and Martin Luther King Boulevard. A man in the area was shot in the arm after a scuffle, according to deputies.
“Unfortunately, we had two…shootings at the same time, so we were short-staffed somewhat. But, as usual, the Sacramento Police Department was able to step in and assist us,” a sheriff’s deputy said.

Noah Berger for The Bay Citizen An Oakland police officer arrives at the department’s Eastmont Substation on Tuesday, March 22, 2011
Police found one-month-old twins in the car of a Stockton woman arrested for prostitution Wednesday, and turned them over to child protective services, the Oakland Tribune reports.
The 25-year-old woman was arrested after police say she solicited an undercover officer on the 1500 block of 16th Avenue. After agreeing to a price for a specific sex act, she and the undercover officer drove to a nearby fast food restaurant parking lot, where she was arrested.
The woman told police about the twins, who were sleeping in car seats and unharmed in an Oldsmobile with tinted windows. The woman had left a window cracked for air flow. She said she had three other children and needed to make money to get home.
