Cops Say Party Promoter is Sex Offender

SACRAMENTO – Party promoter Kevin Kennedy organized the event last month, in which a 14-year-old girl was shot and killed.
Last week, state parole agents arrested Kennedy because they said he is a sex offender, who violated his parole by being at that party.
From the jail in Elk Grove, Kennedy told FOX40 by phone that he wasn’t even there that night.
He also said his initial offense wasn’t the sexual kind.
“I ain’t never molested or raped anybody,” he said, adding that the offense stems from six years ago, when he ran an escort service with girls he didn’t know were underage at the time.
“Once you found out they were minors, you shut it down?” FOX40 asked.
