ROSEVILLE – What do you get when you cross a former porn star with a Christian youth group? On Sunday night in Roseville the answer was: A POWERFUL MESSAGE.
Shelley Lubben told a hard luck story heard too many times; a runaway, a prostitute, and a porn star all by the age of 18. “I’m thinking God is going to send me some rich guy to get me out of this, we always think God is going to show up a certain way. And what happened was I caught genital herpes, a non curable disease” she said.
Right now, you’re probably thinking; what could an ex-porn star have in common with a bunch of kids from the suburbs. Lubben is quick to respond “ADDICTION!”
