Salvador Avila, a freshman at Pacific and Stockton native agreed.
“I think that’s just great progress as a school and as a community,” Avila, 18, said.
Concerns on campus are also being addressed, she said. In her agenda are plans to expand and renovate residence halls, as well as foster a wider variety of entertainment and social gatherings for students.
At the same time, Eibeck said the university is working to change perceptions that Stockton is unsafe, and that has included enhancing its student escort services and collaborations with the city and the police department.
