Sacramento Escorts: Two massage parlor owners appear in court; third named
Two people, whom federal prosecutors say own the businesses, made their first appearances in a Seattle courtroom Friday afternoon. A third suspect, who owns property in Lodi, has since made arrangements to turn himself in on Monday, federal officials said. That man, Carl Hencmann, was named in an indictment that was unsealed Friday morning. He is charged with conspiracy to transport individuals for prostitution, and conspiracy to engage in money laundering.

All three are accused of using multiple massage businesses as fronts for prostitution. They allegedly moved Asian women in and out of various businesses as part of an “interstate prostitution ring,” according to the affidavit handed down Wednesday by a federal grand jury in Seattle. Undercover detectives visited several businesses in Washington, Sacramento and Lodi, where they were allegedly offered sexual favors in exchange for money. Some of the women apparently worked at multiple businesses, and the investigators tracked business licenses and phone records that linked all three suspects, according to the affidavit.
